According to 21Shares' mid-year outlook report, cumulative trading volume in the prediction market reached $57.5 billion by the end of May, accounting for over half of its previously forecast target of $100 billion for 2026. The firm believes that driven by the World Cup and the U.S. midterm elections, the prediction market may reach its target ahead of schedule. Additionally, 21Shares stated that the assessment that "most Layer 2s will not survive until the end of 2026" is materializing, with market share concentrating among a few top projects.
