This thank-you letter left by the Iranian team moved so many to tears?

On June 21, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Iran held European Red Devils Belgium to a 0-0 draw.
But even more heartbreaking than the score was a handwritten letter they quietly left in the locker room after the match—
Before it could be widely reported by the media, the team, due to travel restrictions, hastily headed to the airport to fly back to their base in Tijuana, Mexico.

The full text of the thank-you letter:
From ancient Persia thousands of years ago to today's Iran, the spirit of Iran remains vibrant and unwavering. We came to Los Angeles with immense pride, competed with noble sportsmanship, and are leaving this city with dignity. Los Angeles, thank you for your warm hospitality, and thank you to all the Iranian people who did their utmost to defend Iran during these 180 minutes. We wish peace, respect, and friendship to people of all nations.

Constrained by U.S. entry policies, the Iranian team could not stay or train within the United States during the World Cup, having to commute between their base in Tijuana, Mexico, and match venues. Even more heart-wrenching, several coaching staff and federation officials were denied visas, missing the matches entirely.
Logistics, tactics, mental pressure… all the burden fell on the players.
Yet this team—playing as "visitors among visitors"—
remained unbeaten in their first two group stage matches, sitting second in the group with 2 points!
They let their football do the talking, silencing all doubts.
On June 26, Iran will face Egypt in a group stage do-or-die match in Seattle, USA. Once again, they will make the long trek from Mexico northward, continuing their "nomadic World Cup"…

A few words from the heart:
They could have been angry, but they chose dignity; they could have given up, but they gritted their teeth and fought through two tough battles.
What is sportsmanship? Not the euphoria of victory, but the posture of holding one's head high in adversity.
Regardless of whether they advance, they have already earned respect.
