Shenchao TechFlow news: On June 24, according to Decrypt, US President Trump temporarily canceled the signing ceremony of the “21st Century Housing Road Act” on June 24. The bill covers not only easing restrictions on new home construction and prohibiting Wall Street from large-scale purchases of residences, but also includes a provision that extends the CBDC issuance ban through the end of 2030. The bill had previously passed both the Senate and the House with overwhelming votes of 85-5 and 358-32, respectively.

Trump said he would refuse to sign the housing bill unless Congress first passed the controversial “SAVE America Act” (a bill restricting voting rights), and called it “irrelevant.” Republican leadership has previously said multiple times that the “SAVE America Act” has almost no chance of passing. If Trump ultimately vetoes it, Congress must pass it again with a two-thirds supermajority for it to take effect.
