Right now, I am alone, sitting on the balcony, watching the market movements, observing the mouse traps I set up, with the main players one by one jumping in.

This kind of thrill is very similar to childhood, when in the evening I would go up the mountain, bury mouse traps along the mouse’s usual path, disguise the scene, then go back to sleep.
The next morning, I would get up eagerly, step through thick fog to the mountain, and within 10 meters I could hear mice struggling and squealing.
I would put them into a sack, bring them home, and wait for the mouse catcher to come and collect them.
This is my source of pocket money.
In Guangdong, mice are still quite valuable, and the cost to catch them is relatively low.
Sometimes, I would check the mouse traps at 8-9 PM at night, to collect a batch first and prevent mice from struggling free and escaping.
Sometimes, I would even go alone at night to a mass grave site, and my heart would almost jump out of my chest.
My current trading method is very similar to catching mice with traps.
The mouse trap is my trap for the main players.
Going alone at night corresponds to taking high risks.
Collecting a batch first is like taking partial profits.
The next day, catching the mice is the final profit-taking.
Sometimes, the traps are often not triggered (there’s always a misjudgment), or triggered but no mice are caught (buying in and selling at the original price), or catching mice but the mice are injured and fighting for survival (stop-loss).
