BlockBeats News, June 24 — According to informed diplomats, the Prime Minister of Qatar has initiated relevant consultations in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Wednesday, to promote talks between Iran, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, and Iraq regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and future operational arrangements.

Sources said that although transit fees are not officially on the agenda, Iran is expected to propose schemes such as environmental fees, navigation fees, and security fees during negotiations. Gulf countries are expected to push for maintaining the exemption of transit fees in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure smooth regional energy and trade transportation.
