BOK to Expand Deposit Token Pilot to 500,000 Users

The Bank of Korea plans to expand its deposit token pilot to 500,000 participants in the second half of this year. Project Hangang will include P2P transfers, auto-recharge functions, and payments at large merchants. South Korea's Financial Services Commission said related regulatory discussions remain at an early stage.
