I recently needed a simple way to secure some important documents before sharing and backing them up.

Normally, I'd compress the files manually, look for a separate encryption tool, and manage everything myself.
Instead, I tested @apyhub's Generate Secure Archives API.
I uploaded multiple files, set a password, and the API instantly generated a password-protected ZIP archive.
What I liked:
• Multiple files can be archived in one request
• Password protection is built in
• No need for extra software
• Useful for sensitive documents, backups, and secure file sharing
For example, I used it to archive personal documents like my CV and admission letter. Anyone who gets the ZIP file still needs the password before accessing the contents.
It's a small utility, but it's exactly the kind of feature developers often spend time building themselves when they could simply plug in an API and move on.
A good reminder that not every problem needs custom code.
