Voyager investors appeal, challenge against Mark Cuban lawsuit dismissed

Deep Tide TechFlow news, on June 24, according to The Block, Voyager Digital investors filed an appeal with the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on Tuesday, seeking a rehearing of the ruling made by Florida federal judge Altman on December 30, 2025. The ruling dismissed the claims brought by "Shark Tank" investors Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks on the grounds that the plaintiffs failed to prove that the lawsuit had a sufficiently strong connection to Cuba’s residency in Florida. The appeal also challenges the judge’s decision made on May 27 of this year to deny a motion to retry the case. The lawsuit was initially filed in 2022, alleging that Cuban and other named individuals promoted unregistered securities before Voyager’s platform collapse. Previously, other defendants such as Rob Gronkowski reached a $2.4 million settlement with investors in 2024, leaving Cuban and the Mavericks as the only remaining defendants. Voyager sought bankruptcy protection in July 2022 after a run was triggered by Three Arrows Capital’s $650 million loan default.
