22 Bitcoins held by Korean police have been lost, and those responsible have not been held accountable.

Mars Finance News reported, citing The Chosun Ilbo, that 22 Bitcoin previously held by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station during its investigation of a financial hacking case have been lost, which is worth approximately 2.2 billion Korean won at the latest market rate. The investigation found that the involved Bitcoin was stored in an offline wallet held by the party who filed the report, and relevant personnel who knew the seed phrase subsequently recovered it externally and liquidated the assets.
