Two Departments: Domestic Small Passenger Cars Can "Buy and Register on the Same Day"

Today (the 23rd), the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the General Office of the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued a notice, stating that in the future, the information of motor vehicle certificates of conformity will be shared in real time, allowing domestic small passenger cars to "purchase the car on the same day, pay taxes on the same day, and register on the same day." It is understood that the biggest change in this new model is that the information of motor vehicle certificates of conformity can be shared in real time between the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the public security departments, achieving data transmission in "seconds," further improving the efficiency of vehicle purchase and registration.

A relevant person in charge said that this policy not only improves the data exchange efficiency between the two departments but also further expands the shared content and optimizes the sharing mode for domestic small passenger cars, providing enterprises with a unified interface for uploading. Enterprises can transmit certificates of conformity and pre-inspection information to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in a unified manner and share it with the public security department, effectively enhancing data exchange efficiency. At the same time, the two departments have reduced the number of vehicle standard photos required and no longer require paper documents, lowering operational costs for enterprises. It is estimated that over 20 million vehicles will benefit from this convenience each year.
