In Ernakulam, an investigation has begun into an alleged assault by a police officer on a teenager. The family of a woman summoned to the station accused the sub-inspector of slapping the teen when he tried to clarify his grandmother's difficulty hearing during questioning. The police, however, dismissed the allegation.
