Masayoshi Son: Arm, a subsidiary of SoftBank, will enter chip manufacturing, "with over 10 times growth potential"

SoftBank Group Chairman Masayoshi Son stated at the shareholders' meeting that its UK chip design company Arm (ARM.O) will evolve from a chip designer to a chip provider and will participate in manufacturing personally. He predicted that "the AI era will be centered around CPUs" in the future and emphasized that Arm "still has more than ten times the growth potential." He also mentioned SoftBank's investment of approximately 300 billion yen in Intel, saying it was "criticized at the time," but now "the profit based on market value has reached trillions of yen."
