The Israeli military says it will remain in Lebanon’s “safe zone,” while Hezbollah in Lebanon says it will continue to “resist the invasion.”

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a statement saying that Hezbollah in Lebanon violated the ceasefire agreement and launched an attack on the Israeli military. He has instructed the Israel Defense Forces to deliver a “strong response.” He emphasized that Israel will not tolerate any attacks against its soldiers or territory. Earlier that day, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that four officers and soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon in a Hezbollah attack, including a tank battalion commander.
