The US and Iran have differing statements on the issue of unfreezing Iranian assets and nuclear inspections.

Golden Finance reports that on June 24th, Trump defended the decision to unfreeze Iranian assets, stating that the funds would be held in escrow by a third party and only used for purchasing American food and medical supplies; Iran denied this claim, saying it would freely allocate the funds according to its own needs. The US and Iran also disagreed on nuclear inspection issues: Trump insisted that Tehran had agreed to accept "highest level" inspections, but Iran denied making such commitments; meanwhile, peace negotiations are still ongoing, and the U.S. Senate passed a symbolic vote to end the state of war with Iran.
