Golden Finance reports that on June 24, a public opinion poll released on the 23rd by Reuters and Ipsos Group showed that more than half of U.S. residents believe that the military action against Iran launched by the U.S. at the end of February is “not worth it.” U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped again to 34%, the lowest level since his second term as president. According to the poll results, 52% of respondents believe that this military conflict is “not worth it.” In addition, around 35% of respondents think that compared with before the war, the United States’ position in addressing the Iran issue has been weakened. The presidents of the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding remotely on the 17th Eastern Time, and the two sides will hold 60 days of negotiations to reach a final agreement. About 63% of respondents believe that the memorandum of understanding is unlikely to bring lasting peace between the two countries, while only 18% believe that lasting peace can be achieved.
