Gold Finance reports that on June 24th, a poll by Reuters/Ipsos showed that only a quarter of Americans believe that the cost of going to war with Iran is worth it, and most are worried that a ceasefire with Tehran would be difficult to sustain. The five-day poll concluded on Monday, and the results also showed that this conflict has severely lowered Trump's approval rating to 34%, returning to the lowest level during his second term as Republican president. This level was last seen in a poll in April. The poll indicates that only 24% of Americans believe that the cost of going to war with Iran is worth it. Half of the respondents said the conflict is not worth the cost, while the rest were unsure. About 63% of Americans believe that the agreement signed by Trump is unlikely to bring lasting peace between the two countries.
