Crypto industry groups urged Congress to pass a tax bill that would exempt mining and staking rewards from taxable income. The Tax Clarity for Mining and Staking Act was one of six crypto tax bills discussed at a Ways and Means committee hearing earlier this month. House Democrats said they do not foresee passing any crypto tax bills until after November’s midterm elections.
