The U.S. Senate passes a resolution aimed at limiting Trump's war powers over Iran.

Golden Finance reports that on June 24th, the U.S. Senate passed the Iran War Powers Resolution with 50 votes in favor and 48 votes against, following the House of Representatives' earlier approval. This is the first time the related resolution has been passed by both chambers of Congress. The resolution requires the President to end U.S. military actions against Iran unless Congress declares war or authorizes the use of force. However, since this resolution is a joint congressional resolution and does not have legal binding force, nor does it require the President's signature, it mainly carries symbolic significance.
