Bank of England Eases Stablecoin Framework With £40B Issuance Cap

The Bank of England announced its final stablecoin regulatory framework with a temporary £40 billion issuance cap per stablecoin. The BoE scrapped a previously considered limit on individual stablecoin holdings. Issuers may now invest up to 70% of reserves in interest-bearing government debt. The earlier proposal allowed 60%.
