Random thoughts about when people talk about “Just because he had wealthy parents doesn’t mean he’s not self made” rebuttals when people point out that billionaires are almost always nepo babies.

Finance and business types are well aware of the effects of compounding and how starting early can have a massive impact on future success because it allows the exponential growth stage to begin before it's too late. yet people simply refuse to admit that someone who's parents own a diamond mine or that have $300,000 to invest in their child's company means the child also had countless other legs up in life and surrounded by people and opportunities from birth that allowed them to flourish which 99.9% of people simply do not have.
the system is unfair and certain people have huge advantages from birth, why can't we just admit that?
