SpaceX's stock price fell further in pre-market trading. The pre-market decline at one point neared 5% to about $147, below the IPO day-one opening price of $150, as the company's market capitalization was about to drop below $2 trillion.

After three straight trading days of losses, SpaceX's market value has been wiped out by more than $600 billion. In just Monday alone, it shrank by about $400 billion— the second-largest single-day market cap wipeout in U.S. stock market history.
