Mars Finance News, June 23 — On June 23, Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency reported that Bahram Baghaei, a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a weekly routine press conference held in Tehran that Iran will fully decide how to use its unfrozen assets based on national interests and will not be subject to any restrictions.

Earlier, some media speculated that under the agreement reached between Iran and the U.S., the right to use the unfrozen funds would be restricted, possibly limited to purchasing specific goods, including American food. Baghaei rebutted this, saying, “There are no restrictions in this regard,” adding that for the purchase of goods, “relevant entities such as the Ministry of Agriculture will make decisions based on price and quality.”

Baghaei also said that the sales licenses issued by the United States for Iranian crude oil, petrochemical products, refined oil, and related services took effect on the 22nd, and the same principle applies to the unfrozen Iranian assets. “Iran’s assets that were previously frozen are now fully available and can be used freely according to its own priorities.”
