Samsung launches the industry's fastest UFS 5.0 to empower edge-side AI, starting mass production in Q4

Mars Finance News, June 23 — Samsung Electronics announced today the launch of the industry's fastest universal flash storage 5.0 solution. Achieving the highest bandwidth in the industry at 10.8GB/s, with sequential read speeds up to 10.8 GB/s, sequential write speeds up to 9.5 GB/s, and sequential read/write speeds more than twice as fast as the previous generation UFS 4.1 standard. Samsung's UFS 5.0 solution significantly enhances the storage and processing speed of mobile memory, while also improving energy efficiency and reducing package size, providing a better on-device AI experience. Samsung will begin mass production of UFS 5.0 in the fourth quarter of this year, with capacities up to 1TB.
