CoinWorld news: Ripple has obtained preliminary approval from the Luxembourg Financial Regulatory Authority for a license as a cryptocurrency asset service provider. This approval is intended to advance Ripple’s payment business in the European Economic Area and its MICA compliance process. The preliminary approval will take effect after final conditions are met. Combined with Ripple’s existing e-money institution license, European financial institutions can access Ripple’s cryptocurrency and stablecoin payment infrastructure through a single integrated portal.
