SpaceX IPO and AI Giants Threaten US Stock Market to Drop 40%, Economists Warn

According to MarketWatch, economists warn that large-scale IPOs, including SpaceX's recent issuance and anticipated listings from OpenAI and Anthropic, could trigger nearly a 40% decline in the US stock market this year.
Harvard economist Xavier Gabaix and University of Chicago scholar Ralph Koijen's research found a 5-to-1 amplification effect: for every $1 flowing out of the stock market, the overall market value decreases by $5.
If SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic collectively raise $200 billion, the chain reaction could wipe out up to $1 trillion in US stock market value.
GMO research shows that when monthly IPO volume rises to 5% of the total stock market capitalization, the stock market faces an average 40% decline risk over the next 12 months. #Gate股票7x24小时交易
