Meta plans to invest $900 million in Cred and reorganize WhatsApp management

Golden Finance reports that on June 22, Meta plans to invest approximately $900 million in Indian fintech company Cred, acquiring about 20% of the shares, with the company's post-investment valuation around $4.5 billion. As part of the deal, Cred founder Kunal Shah will succeed Will Cathcart as head of WhatsApp, while Cathcart will transition to a new AI-related position within Meta.
