It's so terrifying, I truly believe in fate, that there is a divine will in the midst of it all.

Figure 1 is from my birthday in 2021, when my ex-girlfriend took me to the "Back Lake" next to the university, bought a small fruit cake, and we made wishes and ate cake by the lake.
Figure 2 is from a recent trip to Changsha, where a junior student said he wanted to treat me to dinner for his birthday, and found a restaurant over in Tianma, coming all the way from Hedong.
I said okay, I wanted to bring a cake myself, searched for the nearest shop, and only the last fruit cake was available, at which point I had no awareness that later "almost the same thing" would happen, nor did I intentionally want to buy this cake.
After dinner at Tianma, I couldn’t eat the cake anymore, and the two of us decided to go for a walk, ending up at Back Lake. At this moment, I was holding the cake, still unaware.
Until we, in a daze, walked to the same spot at Back Lake, I said let’s eat here, this place is big.
When I opened the cake and set it down, wow, I suddenly realized that this exact scene had happened before!!!
I was truly shocked. If the junior hadn’t had a birthday, if he hadn’t invited me out, if he had booked the restaurant somewhere else, if I hadn’t brought the cake, if I hadn’t entered that shop, if we had finished dinner and eaten the cake, if we hadn’t gone for a walk here, if we hadn’t reached this spot, if I hadn’t set down the cake… none of this would have repeated.
All the preconditions naturally occurred before I realized “we came here with my ex-girlfriend to eat cake.”
And moreover, who would eat the same fruit cake on the same lakeside ground…
Everything is predestined; past events will definitely happen again!
