Abstract generation in progress
Mars Finance News, driven by infrastructure upgrades in computing power and communication networks, has led to a continuous recovery in demand for high-purity silicon tetrachloride since the beginning of this year. The main downstream applications of high-purity silicon tetrachloride are in the production of optical fiber preforms and synthetic quartz glass. It is understood that, benefiting from the booming global optical fiber market, high-purity silicon tetrachloride has entered a price increase cycle due to shortages. An industry insider revealed that currently, most sales of high-purity silicon tetrachloride in the market are through long-term contract lock-in pricing models. Since last year, long-term contract prices have seen significant increases. By the end of 2025, the reference price for 9N-grade high-purity silicon tetrachloride in optical fiber long-term contracts is about 25k yuan per ton, and the reference price for the first quarter of this year has risen to about 45k yuan per ton, with a stage price increase of approximately 80%.
