#My Gate Trading Moments

In the repeated game of buying and selling hundreds of times, there is always one trade that completely reshapes my personal investment logic. It may not be the one with the highest profit, nor the most devastating loss, but it can instantly awaken me and help me find a trading rhythm that suits my market style. I have been participating in BTC spot and event prediction trading on the Gate platform for a long time. Recently, the Middle East geopolitical conflict has continued to ferment, with Trump publicly warning Iran that if Lebanon's armed groups continue to provoke conflict, U.S. strikes will be far more intense than last week. The risk in the Strait of Hormuz is rapidly increasing. Currently, BTC is quoted at $64,513, up only 0.42% in 24 hours, maintaining a volatile and cautious stance throughout.

Looking back at my trading records, I previously followed popular meme coins, seeing short-term continuous rallies and blindly increasing my positions. After some initial lucky profits, my mentality rapidly inflated, and I kept adding to my positions, completely ignoring the project fundamentals and market risks. Eventually, the market quickly retreated, not only wiping out all profits but also causing a significant drawdown of my principal. This trade sounded an alarm for me. Afterwards, I adjusted my trading system: strictly building positions in batches for spot trading, never exceeding 15% of total assets per trade, avoiding frequent opening of contracts, and setting take-profit and stop-loss levels in advance.

Recently, the World Cup has seen consecutive upsets, with Cape Verde drawing with Uruguay and Iran tying Belgium. The prediction market has seen many high-odds results, and many traders around me are eager to enter the market for short-term gains. Based on past pitfalls, I always remain rational. The outcomes of matches are highly coincidental, and I do not blindly bet on high-odds options just because there are many upsets. At the same time, on-chain theft incidents have been frequent recently. Taiko vaults and top Ethereum arbitrage bots have been repeatedly hacked, with total losses reaching millions of dollars. When interacting with contracts daily, I always verify contract addresses repeatedly to avoid asset theft risks.

Recording my trading experiences on the Gate platform is essentially a reflection after each trade. There is no forever accurate market judgment, only a continuously improving trading system. I also want to give some advice to newcomers who have just entered the crypto market: the market never lacks trading opportunities. Protecting your principal is the key to long-term survival. Abandon the mentality of overnight wealth and build your own trading rules, which is the core foundation of long-term profitability.
