#我的Gate交易时刻

My football betting on Polymarket

On June 21st, I turned myself into a gambler and trader.

Opening Polymarket, the screen was filled with the scent of the pitch. I stared at the matches between Japan and Germany, hesitating with my finger over the screen. In the end, I made a few precise score bets—Germany 2-1 Ivory Coast, Tunisia 0-2 Japan. Each contract was ten or twenty cents, like buying a lottery ticket, or pricing my own intuition.

That night, I refreshed the page very frequently. Watching the "Japan wins" position turn green and settle, a sense of pride flickered in my mind; but others, refunded or washed out, instantly pulled me back to reality. Every bet of a few tens of cents added up, and finally my account stopped at $295.93.

This was not just watching football; it was more like an experiment in probability. I broke down my understanding of football into buy and sell orders, using real money to verify those so-called "sure wins." Although I didn't make a fortune, turning passion into data, and shouting into profit and loss, was truly addictive. This is what I recorded—a night of finance for an ordinary fan.
