Abstract generation in progress
Golden Finance reports that on June 22, Tianfeng International Securities analyst Guo Mingchi's latest industry survey shows that Google will develop an upgraded version of the v9 chip, possibly code-named Triggerfish, based on TPU v9/Humufish, and MediaTek will exclusively secure this higher-priced new order.
Under the assumption that the Humufish lifecycle ships 4 to 5 million units, Google will additionally order 1 to 2 million Triggerfish units, expected to start production by the end of 2027 and ramp up in 2028; since Triggerfish's unit price is about 30% higher than Humufish, it is expected to become a new growth driver for MediaTek's 2028 revenue.
