Someone asked me what to look for when choosing coins now. I usually say one thing: the method has long been simple; what’s complicated is people.
Now I mainly focus on a few things; I don’t look at the rest.
First, look at the top gainers list. Coins that have repeatedly appeared on the list in the past half month, I will add to my watchlist first. $LAB
Because coins that have risen have attention, capital memory, and the market will continue to trade around them.
Long-term stagnant coins, if you enter, you’re likely just spending time with them.
Second, look at the monthly MACD. Is there a golden cross? Is the trend starting? This is the most basic judgment.
If it’s still in a death cross zone, don’t think about bottom fishing or rebounds; that stage is more about exhausting patience. $RE
Third, look at the 70-day moving average. When the price retraces near the 70-day line and volume increases, that’s a point I would consider.
Online is the trend; offline is the risk. That’s the simplest dividing line.
Coins below the 70-day line, I basically won’t touch.
Fourth, after entering, do only one thing: follow the line.
Hold when above the line, sell when it breaks below—no explanation, no hesitation.
Many people lose money not because they don’t know how to buy, but because they don’t know how to sell.
Fifth, take profit in stages.
Sell part at a 30% gain, another part at a 50% gain.
Don’t think about riding the entire trend; the market won’t leave the very top and bottom for you.
Sixth, if it breaks below the 70-day line, exit immediately, whether you just entered or just got out of a loss—this is a universal rule.
After following this discipline many times, you’ll find it has saved more trades than you imagine.
Someone said this method is too mechanical.
But in the crypto world, being mechanical is actually an advantage.
Because once emotions get involved, the results tend to spiral out of control.
This set of rules, frankly, is a survival method earned through repeated losses.
Market trends always exist, but not many people can survive.
