BlockBeats News, June 22 — On June 22, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran’s Central Bank Governor Hemmati said that in recent negotiations, there has been “significant progress” on the issue of unfreezing frozen Iranian assets, and that the relevant documents have been signed during this round of negotiations.

Hemmati said that the issue of frozen assets of the Iranian central bank is one of the most complex topics in the current negotiations. Under the relevant arrangements, in the coming days, the related funds will be gradually put into use according to established conditions and in accordance with the procedures set by the Central Bank of Iran.

When discussing the export of oil and petrochemical products, Hemmati said that, pursuant to the memorandum of understanding reached between Iran and the United States, the sanctions exemption mechanism involving Iranian energy exports should have been activated. It has already been agreed that the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control will be responsible for implementing the relevant arrangements.
