Baillie Gifford, a century-old institution, is betting on Solana for RWA tokenization, and has even brought in BNY and NatWest for endorsements—this isn't small-scale; they're seriously bringing traditional fixed income onto the blockchain.

Baillie Gifford launches Solana and Ethereum tokenized funds
Baillie Gifford partners with BNY to launch BAGEY, a USD-denominated tokenized fixed-income fund for Solana and Ethereum. It is aimed at qualified investors in the UK, Switzerland, and the Cayman Islands, and invests in a short-term portfolio of public company bonds. The fund is operated through an OEIC, targets an approximately 7% yield, is issued on-chain, and investors directly hold the tokens. BNY provides tokenization and wallet infrastructure, while NatWest acts as custodian.
