Every trader has a trade that changes everything. Mine happened in May 2025.

At that time, market sentiment was intense, a project surged 200% in three days, and I FOMOed in. As a result, I bought at the top, and then the project retraced 50%. I hesitated whether to cut losses, and finally held on for two months before breaking even.

Looking back at that trade, I carefully analyzed every entry and exit using Gate’s trading records. Where was the problem? No plan—no idea when to take profits, and even less when to cut losses.

Since then, my rules have changed: I must define exit points before entering. Take profit, stop loss, position size—all written out in advance and strictly followed. Intense emotions can make people lose their minds, but a clear trading plan can bring you back.

This trade didn’t make me rich overnight, but it turned me from a “gambler” into a “trader.” That’s the most valuable reward.
