Trading for 9 years.

A few days ago, I went for a health checkup.
When the report came out, I stared at those words for a long time:
Moderate fatty liver.
The doctor looked at me:
"Do you often stay up late?"
I forced a smile.
How many traders don’t stay up late?
Nine years.
Countless 3 a.m. wake-ups.
Countless times staring at candlesticks in a daze.
Countless times being suddenly awakened by market spikes.
Made big money.
Also blew up large positions.
Now I am financially free.
But I’ve started to receive warnings from my body.
Fatty liver.
Prostate calcification.
Various problems caused by long periods of sitting.
Fortunately:
The three highs are normal.
Blood lipids are normal.
Other indicators are also normal.
But the doctor told me:
Get up and move for five minutes every hour you sit.
Go to bed earlier at night.
Sleep less late.
Eat less spicy food.
Eat less seafood.
I was silent after hearing this.
Because these suggestions are not difficult for ordinary people.
But for a trader,
They are too hard.
Market movements won’t wait for you to wake up.
Opportunities won’t wait for you to walk back.
So many traders finally made money,
But lost to their health.
When young, I thought:
Poverty limits freedom.
Later I realized:
Illness is the real limit to freedom.
You can buy luxury cars.
You can buy mansions.
You can buy luxury watches.
But you can’t buy back a healthy liver.
You can’t buy back a youthful body.
In the past month, I started losing weight.
Started exercising.
Started forcing myself to sleep less late.
My body feels noticeably better than before.
Suddenly I realized a sentence:
Making money is a skill.
Living to the end is true ability.
A word to all brothers still staying up late watching the markets:
The numbers in your account are important.
But what can stay with you until the end,
Will always be your health. 🙏
