Russia has banned 17-year-old British citizen Alexander Broudder from entering after he published research on cryptocurrency transactions related to the Russian Federation.

The teenager became the first school student in history to be subject to personal sanctions by the Kremlin.

Moscow explained this by claiming that the young man was allegedly involved in spreading false information about the policies of Russian authorities.

Broudder had been researching cryptocurrency transactions for a long time and created his own database of suspicious operations. Among them were transactions that, in his opinion, could be used to circumvent Western sanctions imposed on Russia.

The student's work went far beyond an ordinary school project, and in the spring, the results of his research were presented to the British Parliament. After that, they attracted the attention of politicians, experts, and media monitoring the effectiveness of sanctions pressure on Russia.
