HEY GUYS, PAY ATTENTION HERE
There are some misunderstandings and confusion around the posts about "Cleanest Dirty Shirts," meaning the altcoins I present and will keep presenting on Substack. But before we get there, let's clarify a few things:
1. THERE IS NO investment without risk. If someone tells you they've found such a thing, run!!! It’s something that smells bad but is nicely packaged. As traders or investors, our job is to constantly take on risks. Risks that we need to understand from the start and manage as best as we can.
2. Okay, now that we've clarified that, I’ll say it again (maybe for the Nth time): BITCOIN FIRST, BITCOIN HEAVY! If you still choose to invest in digital assets, Bitcoin is a must. And in a proportion high enough so you don’t have to refresh your portfolio 50 times a day, whether bear or bull.
What exact percentage? Depends on each person’s age, experience, and risk appetite. But the higher, the better. For example, I’ve always tried to keep at least a 5:1 ratio in favor of Bitcoin. That is, for every dollar allocated to altcoins, at least $5 in Bitcoin.
3. Altcoins have represented, still represent, and will continue to be a tool for me to farm more Bitcoin. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m not @saylor to do financial tricks and have infinite capital available to buy Bitcoin periodically.
So I adapt and implement various methods to increase my Bitcoin stack. One of the most effective (but also risky if you lack experience and cold blood) is to find "Cleanest Dirty Shirts."
4. Now, the part many forget: where does the trade end? If the goal is to farm more Bitcoin, then the profit from an altcoin doesn’t stay in that altcoin. It rotates back into BTC.
This is the difference between someone who farms Bitcoin and someone who just moves money from one altcoin to another and ends up with less Bitcoin than they started with. You enter to exit in Bitcoin, then also take profit, because you don’t eat Bitcoin and life still needs to be lived, so don’t marry your bag.
5. The altcoins I move to "Cleanest Dirty Shirts" have performed better than most in recent months and will very likely perform better in the coming ones. Will they all perform better? Probably not.
But as long as they show relative strength compared to the rest, have much healthier structures on the weekly chart, and many may have even printed lows for this bear market, I will follow, analyze, and mention them.
6. I don’t care about market cap, supply, holder wallets, etc... for the past 6 years of tracking these metrics, they’ve rarely mattered... what mattered much more was the Price and the chart structure.
I don’t care what X or Y thinks about that altcoin, I follow what the Price tells me on the weekly chart and make decisions based on that, according to my risk management strategy.
7. And to be clear: these ARE NOT buy signals. I’m not telling you to buy anything. I show you how I read a chart and why an altcoin enters my radar, not yours. My job here is to make you think, not to give everything on a silver platter (teach a man to fish method). What you do with the information depends on your strategy, capital, and risk appetite, not mine. (I know, I constantly mention the word risk, strange isn’t it?)
8. In the attached image, you have NEAR vs ADA from August 2025 until now. NEAR has increased by almost +400% compared to ADA, so do what you think is best for your portfolios, but I will focus on leaders because that’s where most capital will probably go in the future, with exceptions that prove the rule.
9. These are my rules and they’re not for everyone, nor do I claim they are the only correct ones. But I’ve stuck to them for 6 years, and Price has proven me right more often than any opinion on the timeline (including my own biases sometimes).
You can apply them or not, the decision is yours. I will continue to present them on Substack for those who don’t have much time but want to stay updated, or in detail on Discord.
There is no perfect strategy, no best strategy. Surely some altcoins from my "Cleanest Dirty Shirts" list won’t perform as expected, but most of what I choose will likely outperform the rest of the altcoins.
