Anthropic has completed the new version of Mythos training, and Sonnet 5 is about to be released.
According to Beating Monitoring, the well-known AI observer Andrew Curran revealed that Anthropic has already completed training its newer, more powerful version of the Mythos model, but it is currently still unclear whether the new model will be named Mythos 5.1 or Mythos 6, or whether Anthropic might keep it internal to speed up subsequent development.
At the same time, with a model identifier called claude-sonnet-5 appearing on Anthropic’s partner service platform, the developer community generally speculates that Sonnet 5 will be officially released next week.
