Golden Finance reported that on June 22, Qatar and Pakistan issued a joint statement. The statement noted that the first round of senior-level talks held under the framework of the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding concluded in Switzerland. Based on the Memorandum of Understanding, the parties agreed to establish a senior-level committee to provide political oversight for the mediation process. The chief negotiator will report regularly to the senior-level committee. The senior-level committee has reached a consensus on a timeline to reach a final agreement within 60 days, laying the groundwork for the immediate start of further technical talks. In addition, the parties agreed to establish a conflict-elimination coordination group between the relevant parties and the Lebanese Republic, with assistance provided by the mediators, to ensure that military actions in Lebanon are terminated in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding. During the remaining part of this week, technical talks will continue at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland to address all issues. (Jin10)
