BlockBeats News, June 22 — Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger recently stated in an interview on the tech podcast "No Priors" that his return target for Intel is "10 times within 5 to 10 years." He said that Intel is systematically reconstructing its technology roadmap around advanced packaging, new semiconductor materials, and next-generation substrate technologies.

Pat Gelsinger stated that Intel considers advanced packaging technology EMIB, glass substrates, and new materials such as gallium nitride, silicon carbide, indium phosphide, and synthetic diamonds as key to addressing the challenges of traditional process node miniaturization approaching physical limits. He also mentioned that the explosion of AI and inference scenarios is driving a recovery in CPU demand, and the true potential of Intel's foundry business may gradually emerge after 2030.
