Golden Finance reports that on June 22, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger discussed collaboration with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on the Terafab project during a podcast. Gelsinger stated that the shared view with Musk is that semiconductor infrastructure development has not kept pace with the growth of AI artificial intelligence, with gaps in capacity, production efficiency, and power consumption efficiency. Gelsinger praised Musk as "one of the most outstanding entrepreneurs of this century" during the program, saying he greatly enjoys working with Musk, and also noted that Musk is unconventional and questions why traditional methods are used at every step. Gelsinger mentioned that Musk has a clear vision: robots and cars require a large number of chips. He explained that, specifically, Terafab is Musk's decision to build a chip wafer factory himself, and they are very happy to cooperate with him to help accelerate production using their technologies and processes — this is a joint project between both parties.
