The observation about multisig inefficiency being intentional is the exact lens I’ve been using to think about OpenGradient.

Most people see the relay, gateway, and provider as separate components. But you're pointing at something deeper: the system only works because none of them have the full picture.

That's a different kind of trust model.

In traditional systems, trust comes from visibility. One party sees everything, verifies everything, controls everything. In this model, trust comes from fragmentation. Each participant is incomplete by design.

It reminds me of the shift from monolithic systems to modular ones in DeFi. The inefficiency isn't a bug — it's the architecture.

Curious — do you think this coordination model scales as more participants join the network?
