Polymarket pays creators to publish fake trading videos to analyze 1,100 misleading videos: According to a Wall Street Journal investigation reported by The Wall Street Journal, Polymarket pays online creators to post deceptive videos showing false trades and false profits on prediction markets. The Wall Street Journal analyzed 1,100 videos and the educational materials Polymarket provided, finding that many were filmed after nearly perfectly copying the platform’s website and included trades that did not exist. The company also instructed creators not to disclose that they received compensation, although after questions from reporters, they later added “@polymarket partner” to their profiles. Polymarket says it is “committed to maintaining accurate, fair, and transparent markets” and plans to audit its promotional content.
