BlockBeats News, June 21 — Technology companies are reshaping the global investment landscape. The Information Technology (IT) sector currently accounts for about 38% of the MSCI USA Index, which tracks large and mid-cap stocks in the U.S. stock market, covering approximately 85% of the total U.S. market capitalization. This proportion has increased significantly by 15 percentage points over the past four years. The IT sector also makes up about 44% of the MSCI Emerging Markets (EM) Index, which covers large and mid-cap stocks in 24 emerging market countries, representing about 85% of each country's stock market capitalization. Since 2022, the contribution of technology to this index has more than doubled. During the same period, the share of the IT sector in U.S. investment-grade bond issuance has grown more than threefold, reaching a record-breaking approximately 20%. The current market situation is that technology is everything.
