Thomas Massie has returned to one of his most controversial arguments: the fastest path to peace in the Middle East may be ending U.S. military aid to Israel.

His latest remarks came after Netanyahu boasted about ordering the IDF to hit 150 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon and kill dozens of militants. Massie responded by calling Netanyahu a bloodthirsty war criminal and saying American funding should stop immediately.
To Massie, the issue is not complicated. If U.S. money helps fuel military escalation, then cutting off that money could reduce the violence instead of prolonging it. He argues that Washington keeps pretending more weapons will create peace, when decades of conflict suggest the opposite.
The statement also lands in a larger political context. Massie lost his primary months earlier after heavy spending from pro-Israel donor networks targeted him for his position.
But even after that defeat, his message remains direct: America should stop paying for wars that make peace harder.
