Beginner Contract Explosion Prevention Guide: 1000U Small Capital Survival Manual
Are beginner contracts afraid of liquidation? Check out this turnaround strategy within 1000U.
Recently, many fans asked me: I just started trading with under 1000U, how should I operate to avoid losses?
I’ve mentored quite a few novices and summarized this practical advice. Follow it to avoid pitfalls. Remember: Never go all-in with 1000U!
Step 1: Break down the principal, refuse to go all-in
Divide into 5 parts, invest only 200U each time, with leverage locked at 10x. Beginners should avoid 50x leverage; a 2% fluctuation will make you panic and trade recklessly, dying faster.
The remaining 800U should be kept in stable investments, don’t move it around randomly.
Step 2: Don’t add when losing, first find the cause
If you lose 200U, absolutely don’t add to your position! I used to make this mistake, and it only deepened the loss.
Later I understood: first stop and think “why did I lose,” rest for 1-2 days before trading again.
Markets are always there; protecting the principal is the top priority.
Step 3: Cycle your trades, take profits when earned
After adjusting, split the remaining 800U into 5 parts again (each 160U) and start over, being more cautious this time.
If you earn 500U, quickly transfer out 300U, leaving only 200U to continue — having cash on hand keeps your mindset stable.
I’ve seen people earn 500U but refuse to take profits, only to wipe everything out in one slip — too wasteful.
Step 4: Strict discipline, position size is king
Honestly, a 10x contract can be liquidated if the price drops 10%, and BTC’s annual volatility is about 20%.
Even if you’ve made a lot before, full position trading will eventually wipe you out.
These iron rules must be ingrained:
- Daily loss exceeding 2% of total funds should alert you;
- When losing 6%, close losing contracts;
- For profits, set stop-loss at break-even or take profit at a 30% profit retracement; rest for 2-3 days;
- Don’t chase the market; add to winning positions immediately or wait for a big retracement using the “pyramid averaging” method;
- When profit exceeds 200%, set half to a 40% retracement stop-loss, and the other half to break-even — don’t let big gains turn into losses.
Finally, key points for beginners:
Start with 300-500U, leverage of 5-10x is just right;
Set stop-loss at entry (exit if loss hits 100-200 dollars);
Use the “30% profit retracement” strategy for take profit;
Take profits and withdraw funds, each deposit of 1000U is enough; practice well before adding more.
