I only realized today was Father's Day after opening my social media feed.

This might be the most unnoticed holiday, even less prominent than the Singles' Day that merchants invented out of thin air.
In many families, the father is the "default person to pay the bill."
Outside, working 996; at home, being the pillar.
Consumerism packages romance and dignity as men's responsibilities.
The Confucian cultural setting of "men as the backbone" has turned Asian men into the most exhausted group in this high-pressure era.
Men don't have to see "supporting the family = proving oneself" as their only way of life, and women don't have to see "being cared for" as their source of security.
True dignity is two people shoulder-ing together, earning together, living for themselves together.
Stop tying love to who is more exhausted or who is more deserving;
Less internal conflict, more mutual support—everyone can relax a little.
Happy Father's Day.
And I also wish all the men who are silently carrying the load to learn to be a little kinder to themselves. ❤️
