BlockBeats News, June 21 — According to the Associated Press, U.S. Vice President Vance has arrived in Switzerland to lead negotiations between the United States and Tehran regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

Previously, Vance said that his top priority in negotiations with Iran was to establish a negotiation framework, make progress on the Iran nuclear issue, and push for a ceasefire in Lebanon. “We will set up a framework led by political leadership at the highest level, and technical teams will continue to advance the work on the ground,” he said. He added that this time he can only stay in Switzerland for “one to two days,” but hopes to make progress on issues related to the processing of Iran’s nuclear materials.

Vance said that pushing for a ceasefire in Lebanon is also one of his priorities, as the region has recently again been hit by missile attacks from Israel. He said the situation “will be an issue that we must continue to manage.” “These two matters are what we are focusing on. I believe the Iranian side will also have issues they want to discuss,” he said.
