Deep Tide TechFlow news: On June 21, according to Bangkok Post, Thailand’s Ministry of Interior, the Provincial Electricity Authority, the police, and local administrative personnel carried out inspections at 14 illegal Bitcoin mining sites in five provinces in the northeastern region, seizing 315 cryptocurrency mining machines. Investigators found that the relevant locations had tampered with electricity meters and made illegal power connections to run the mining equipment. The report estimates the related losses at 40.38 million Thai baht (about $1.24 million), including 5.38 million Thai baht (about $165,000) in electricity-violation fines and about 35 million Thai baht (about $1.07 million) in unpaid electricity bills. At present, officials have collected evidence and filed complaints against the individuals involved.
